Enjoy two of America's truly original musical art forms during a jazz performance followed by a blues performance on September 19th. Both concerts take place on A Street in front of Pachangas Mexican Restaurant and A Street Soup Market and are free to the public. The jazz performance starts at 11:30am with a quartet featuring the region's top jazz musicians: Casey Emerson - sax, Freddy Gildersleeve – guitar, Alex Holloway – bass, and Bryan McDaniel – drums. The blues performance starts at 1:45pm with the seasoned blues musicians of the I.F. Blues Project: John Anderson, Mark Kerback, Fred Cantafio, Randy Haynes, Kenny Banks, Jerry Ovard, and Ralph Perez. “A” Street will be closed to vehicle traffic on the 19th allowing for plenty of room to set up your own chairs, grab one of the available provided chairs, or better yet, listen to the concert while having lunch at one of Pachangas’ or A Street Soup Market’s shaded sidewalk tables. This Idaho Falls Arts Day event is brought to you by the Eastern Idaho Jazz Society, Mary Lynn Hartwell, Park and Sharon Price, Pachangas Mexican Restaurant, A Street Soup Market, Raymond James Financial Services, and Perez Investments.
